52in52, or 52 Projects in 52 Weeks
The 52in52 Challenge originated as a group on Ravelry
. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to join. Like many people, I often find myself not completing the projects that I have started, because there are other things, like school, family and work, that demand my attention. Because this challenge offers a form of accountability, I felt like it would be a fantastic endeavor.
The goal of 52in52 is to create and finish 52 projects in 52 weeks. Ravelry is a knitting/crochet/etc site, so the requirements for projects are that they be knit, crochet, or spinning. It averages out to one project per week, but the actual timeline is not crucial. So, longer projects that take more than one week can be made up for by smaller projects that can be completed quickly. However, I am going to try my best to remain on the one project per week timeline. I think it will be more fun that way.
While I am going to be providing brief updates here, the real chronicle is going to be on my blog, The Fancy Sparrow
. I'll put a link here weekly so that those who are interested in the full story can check it out there. And, of course, I will be uploading photos of my creations to dA. I haven't decided whether or not I will be selling them in my etsy store yet.
Anywho, happy almost new year, and I hope everyone stays safe. I'll see you again on January 1!
