View of the World

Took this at the very top of Rib Mountain State Park in Wausau, WI. This was our last stop on my geology 325 field trip. The rock is predominantly Quartzite, a metamorphic rock that formed from Sandstone(Quartzarenite/Graywacke varieties). None of my "world" shots are very good since my camera has trouble differentiating color and on top of that, the wind practically almost blew me off.

The rocks on Rib Mountain are between 1-2 billion years old.
