Monthly Prompt - Long Nights [Imara]

Imara has observed other animals doing this and decided to try it herself. Since all the lakes have frozen over fishing has become more difficult, but she's seen many predators break the ice and try catching fish through the hole. She succeeded in catching some food for herself and her family.
