Welp, I'm kinda belated on this one, but better late than never, right?

I've been a fan of Sibsy ever since I discovered her back in her Cars-fanart-drawing days. Then I was delighted to learn she was drawing Cars and Darkwing Duck for Boom Studios. And THEN she goes on to become a storyboard artist for one of the best shows on television at the moment.

I am very envious.

So this is my little birthday tribute to her awesome OC, Wild Fire. Keep up the good work, girl!

Screw the hooficures, I've got a bike! :)

Overall, a pretty good piece. However, the bike doesn't really sit well with me. It doesn't give off that 'awesome' feeling it should have, what with the flames in its trail. At this point, it just looks like a regular mountain bike with a really big motor and exhaust pipe. Perhaps a Harley-Davidson would have been a better choice, but that's just me.

Good work!

Thanks for the constructive criticism. The reference I used was actually a scrambler/dirt bike.

I suppose I could've refined the bike's metallic sheen and rendered the parts out more; this was my first time drawing such a vehicle and I was tired in the early morning.
Although I have to admit, a cruiser would've worked too, reminds me of Arnie's bike jump in Terminator 2, haha. :)
Thanks again for your feedback, will take note for future attempts!

She's certainly living the dream. It's exciting getting to watch some of the artists on this site as they grow, learn and go onto bigger things, and to interact with those who are already there, yet didn't forget where they started: On dA with the rest of us. It gives me hope for the future and inspiration to attain my goals.

I agree, that's why I love hanging out on dA - you get to meet artist 'celebrities' like Lauren Faust or Chris Sanders and some of them, like Sabrina, interact with the fans on a regular basis. Not to mention there are tons of people who become famous simply for drawing fanart, like JohnJoseco, MegaSweet and Veggie55, to name a few. I even got a reply from PixelKitties when I asked her permission to use one of her OCs, laugh out loud.

Out of curiousity, do you happen to know or follow any other dA artists who made it big in the industry? :)

I'm following a couple who have a whole lotta potential, and I hope to be able to point at their names in the credits of a movie and shout, "I know that name! I followed her on deviantART!"

One such example is Canadian Rainwater. She's an animation student who's lightyears ahead of me at the moment, and her work is stunning.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check her out. Perhaps you can PM me some of the other potentials you've been following? And thanks for your comments! :)
