Hey! We are now looking to expand our development team somewhat by opening up a couple of new slots for specialized (and paid) positions!
Both of the slots are specialized on tasks that I've been doing so far, which means that I can focus more on other tasks, and thus speeding up the development process.

So far we've been trying to keep the development team as small as possible to minimize the chance of intrigues and make the development as focused and efficient as possible, but given the expanse of the game, we have concluded that we could use a few extra helping hands. Besides, due to the uptick in sales after the last Bonds update, hiring is now more affordable to us.
For those hired, payment will be mainly per job, meaning for example per map, per sidequest etc. The details on this can be negotiated in private.

Map Maker (ROLE TAKEN)

The first slot we would like to fill is one that we have briefly mentioned before, namely map maker. Making maps like those in the first Didnapper 2 takes considerable time, especially the exterior maps, and so having someone who focuses on that aspect of the game. Below are some examples from the game of the quality and style we are looking to continue. Upon hiring, I will of course go through what needs to be done and how I would prefer it to be done, but having some prior experience helps a lot.

Criteria/expectations:
  • Should be able to create decent maps in RPG Maker MV on direction to make sure they fit with the story, lore and gameplay
  • Should be able to edit maps and tile pieces in a software like Photoshop to enable parallax effects and more details to the maps
  • Should be able to provide some previous work to show what they can do
Bonus:
  • Should be easy to reach, ideally by being available on platforms like Discord
  • Should not take it personally if they're asked to change or redo something, or if some maps end up not being used
  • Should have a sense of humor and generally be good to work with in a team


Eventor (ROLE TAKEN)

The second slot is reserved for someone who make can code in things like NPCs, cutscenes and sidequests to help enrich the game. This role might also include bugtesting and other jobs where it helps to have some experience with coding in RPG Maker MV.

Criteria/expectations:
  • Should be familiar with how to make events like NPCs, cutscenes and sidequests
  • Should be familiar with things like variables, switches, conditions, triggers, labels and all the other RPG Maker MV stuff
  • Should get familiar with the story and lore to make sure their work fits the different locations and such
  • Should be able to provide some previous work to show what they can do
Bonus:
  • Should be aiming to optimize code and following a standard so it's easier to make changes if necessary
  • Should be at least somewhat familiar with how plug-ins work in RPG Maker MV so that those we use can be utilized efficiently
  • Should be easy to reach, ideally by being available on platforms like Discord
  • Should not take it personally if they're asked to change or redo something, or if some of their work ends up not being used
  • Should have a sense of humor and generally be good to work with in a team
