The Arc Phase Variations, No. I

The first in an occasional series of largeish abstract ink drawings, created from 2011 onwards.  In some ways, I think this is the least sophisticated instalment in the sequence; it laid the conceptual groundwork which would be developed in more complex ways in the later drawings.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this picture (or in any of its successors), so I'm always intrigued to hear what other people think it might depict... or at least what it might hint at.  What do you think?
