You might think me mad when I tell you that I have a pocket watch that can stop Tyme.

I only met the man who gave it to me once. He approached me as I was playing in my secret place in the woods. I remember he was tall, with tall boots and long hair–like a girl. He told me it was a very special watch.

When I depress the winding mechanism Tyme stops. Everywhere. Folk stand motionless, or hover if they were mid fall or jump. Electrons hold still and certain particles forget to be Strange. Planets pause, arms of the Galaxies hold their position, and the static noise of a certain Bang is silenced.

Tyme resumes on its own. The affect of the pocket watch lasts precisely twenty minutes, perhaps twenty thousand years. I cannot be sure.

You might think me mad. But then you would not remember the eternities you have spent motionless. I know I don't. Because when I use that watch, I become frozen too.
