So, here's a new one!

The school year has recommenced, and this semester I'll be designing costumes for that zany World War II-era musical On the Town, with such memorable songs, as... well, there's really only one song that I'm familiar with: New York, New York, as in 'it's a helluva town' and not 'start spreading the news'. There's a cast of about forty, so I'll have my work cut-out for me. When I have good light and some time, hopefully I will stir my stumps enough to photograph more jewelry and handbags. I'm thinking about making one or two stuffed stegosauruses for the craft show I [usually try to] participate in in December. Who knows. Anyway.

It's been a while since my last post here, though I have been busy in my designer-life. Stop Kiss, the play I am currently designing costumes for, is actually teching right now. It's been a curiously painless process, despite the ridiculous number of quick changes. ... In the interest of keeping abreast of the pieces for the student-choreographed dance show at work, I joined tumblr (http://lexgurst.tumblr.com/), and I even kinda figured out how to use it to inundate the interwebs with even more of my crap... I mean joyous and wonderful work.

...what are the llama badges for, really? I keep getting them, but I don't know what they signify.
