Welcome to the Discord Doodle Prompt Info Journal! This serves as an informational guide as well as a record of past Doodle Prompts from the Discord channel! The purpose of this ongoing event is to encourage creativity and increase communication and activity both within the group's artwork and pool of inspiration, as well as activity in the group's Discord server.
Here are some basic guidelines for the prompts that are required for entry:
- To enter these weekly prompts you need to be a part of the discord server (linked above), as that is the only place that current prompts will be posted.
- These prompts are meant to be simplistic, chibi, or roughly sketched and colored in nature. You can be more detailed if you wish, but this will not earn you more points as a result of this specific prompt.
- Entries cannot be repeated/re-used line art and must be original work of your own.
- Prompts can be completed more than once, but can only be completed during the week of that specified prompt to qualify for this activity.
- Your entry does not have to be submitted to deviantart due to the potentially rough or sketchy nature of the piece. We will take all kinds of links from gyazo, imgur, or a temporary stash upload as well so that we can confirm your Group Points.
How It Works:
Every week on Sunday morning, an "Everyone" ping will go out on the Discord Server for that week's prompt. This signals the beginning of the new prompt for that week. Ensuring you follow the guidelines above, doodle your entry and provide a link to it on the Discord Doodle Prompt channel in the format using the form below. Group Points will be awarded in that same chat and you will be pinged to ensure you're aware, and the Group Point Bank will also be updated. You can submit as many entries as you'd like as long as they are submitted to the Discord Doodle Channel before Saturday at 11:59pm when the week ends.
All Discord Doodle Prompts will be counted for points, which will receive a base total of 15 Group Points per piece submitted within the time frame. If you do not have a canora of your own, please feel free to use one of the group mascots, or even reach out to the many friendly members to get permission to draw their canora so that you can earn points for a future canora of your own! As long as you have permission, you are good to go! An admin will comment on your post with how many points you've earned, and record it in the Point Bank as well.

FAQ
- How long will this event run? Until we run out of prompts, ideas, or shenanigans. But hopefully that won't happen.
- How long do I have to submit entries to the group for each prompt? Until Saturday at 11:59pm in your local timezone. There is a 12 hour gap between when the prompt submissions end, and when the new prompt for the week is posted just for this reason to give us some time to tidy up things and finish giving points to the correct submissions.
- What can we expect as prompts? Simple one-sentence phrases, short abstract concepts, gender-bends, species changes, story-building, and so many more things!
- Do we need to post it to our deviantart account? No! We will accept all kinds of links for temporary uploading, that way you don't have to clog up your gallery with rough or messy artwork if you do not wish. This said, you can upload it to your account if you want to, but we need to have it linked in the Discord chat in order to count it for that prompt.
- I finished a piece but couldn't post it to Discord before the deadline! Can I still redeem it for points? Unfortunately no. This is meant to be a simple and sweet weekly event, tracking things after the event ends is super difficult. However, if it qualifies for normal Group Points, you can still upload it to deviantart and redeem it for standard group points if it meets that criteria.
- I missed a prompt that I really liked, will there ever be repeats? Most likely yes! In the beginning we will do our best to provide variety, but after a while there will likely be repeats of popular ones, so make sure to express your enjoyment for a prompt in the Discord chat General or Doodle Prompt channels!
