OK, We've reached the end of this contest. No Further submissions will be accepted. All of you guys have done an Awesome job. We'll be starting the judging process as soon as possible ( and it's going to be real hard to decide). If all goes well we should have the three finalists listed by November 30th so stay tuned.... THE BEAST LEGION ‘ACTION CAPTURE’ Contest

Greetings All you Amazing Deviants,

Today is a very special day for me. Today is the day of the release of Issue 4 of my self published manga, ‘The Beast Legion’ which you can read over at  www.THEBEASTLEGION.com &n… with all the previous issues. Over the past months, I’ve had the pleasure of having some Amazing artists here on DA do exclusive covers & pin-ups for each these issues which are exclusive to the Print version which can be found at  Indyplanet.com


  

Starting issue 4 ,however, the comic will be updated on Monday’s & Fridays.

To celebrate this double sized issue, I’ve decided to hold a ‘BEAST LEGION ACTION CAPTURE’ contest. I do plan on releasing an art book with fan works sometime early in 2011 with work selected from this contest.


THE CONTEST
Pick any two characters from the Beast Legion mythos so far & draw them in any action pose that you desire.  You can have a maximum of 4 characters in a picture. Just remember that they need to be in ‘ACTION’ not simply a pin-up art or a page from the manga colored. It can be anything, a scene from the manga,  something totally original . You are free to choose if you want to do the human or Beast forms of the characters.

Contest starts :   September 10th

Deadline :  October 30th

THE RULES
Entry must be received by 11:59:59 PM U.S. Eastern Time (GMT-5) on November 20th, 2010 and be submitted to the BEAST LEGION GROUP   Please make sure you submit the entries in “THE BEAST LEGION ACTION CAPTURE Contest “ gallery only.

* Entrants must be at least 13 years old;
* Entries open to all Mediums except Literature & Photography;
* Feel free to draw in style of your choosing. It need not be limited to Anume/manga!
* Entrants must post a link to this contest journal in the comments section of their piece.
* Entries must be made for this contest, no previously created works.
* Only entries with the date posted September 10th or later will be accepted;
* Entries must state in the artist comments that it is for this contest;
* Entries must not be displayed in any other Group until the conclusion of this contest;
* You may submit a maximum of 2 entries, only one of the two will qualify;
* You must be a member of TheBeastLegion  to enter;
* Prizes may be subject to change at any time.
* Donors are allowed to participate in the contest
* You have the freedom to make subtle changes for any characters as you see fit.
* Collabs are fair game, but the prize will be given to the person doing the line art. It will be his responsibility to distribute the prize.
* No hentai or yaoi please!

Judging
Judging will be based on
1)Originality
2)Concept & Composition
3)Technical skill
4)Incorporation of key elements

I want to stress on the last criteria. Key elements include important parts of each character such as each of their Beast transfer armors. Yes you can modify the look a bitbut those are key elements of the entire manga. Secondly,, I suggest you read the manga & I'm sure you'll get a better idea of the characters personalities & powers.

. Remember, Judging will be based on the quality not just the number of characters in the pic. Unanimous Decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
