First of all, I think a lot of people missed out on the original animation due to deviantART's inability to do thumbnails for video right. So here it is for context sake.

So it wasn't much of a stretch to turn that title screen into a wallpaper, also considering the amount of rendering that went into Daisy herself. So here is the wallpaper for you to use to pretend that this game actually exists.

Been a while... Has this game been scrapped?

There never was a very serious effort to make this game happen; a very rudimentary tech demo was conjured but I believe the dev and I split our way over creative differences (or just because neither of us had the time).

Well, that's unfortunate. Thanks for letting me know!

While I'm not a big fan of the Rayman artstyle in a Mario game (for reasons such as it would sometimes look weird. Like some of Daisy's animations there), it fits pretty well in static, non-animated artworks, making this wallpaper quite a beautiful thing.

Yesss! I knew that I wasn't the only one who though Daisy would be great with a bat in her own game lol! Drew the same thing! Great work man!

After Nintendo's E3 conference; even more so. They need some fresh new ideas. This lineup was severely lacking.

Ugh TELL me about it!! they have all the characters like Daisy and they never use them! Even Waluigi! If you can develop these characters, it'll work just fine!

This is cool as fuck
But it would never happen officially.
Just cause characters like Wario, Waluigi, and Daisy will always be looked at as like filler, by Nintendo.
I mean wario gets some light just because he makes money with Warioware
But im pretty sure Shigeru Miomoto whatever, hates these character. Or like he just doesn't care about them at all

It would be cool to see like a kickstarter for this.
like a secret kickstarter that nintendo wouldnt find out about.

It's true that Daisy is getting severely side-lined in the main-canon of Mario games. Miyamoto was already fairly apprehensive about adding Rosalina in Mario Galaxy, and Daisy's primary role in the Mario franchise seems to be nothing than to be the alternative Peach. That said, she has been included, virtually uninterrupted, in the sports, kart and party games, and you can tell that the developers enjoy putting her in those games, going as far as making a baby and a bike version of her in kart. Now there is even a slim chance we might see Daisy as DLC for Smash, and I'd be interested to see what sort of move-set they make for her.

Daisy, Wario and Waluigi, and by extension Pauline, side-lined characters, could work very well for Nintendo as a "blank slate" to create non-conventional Mario games without the risk of "tainting" the main canon. With the Mario games, Nintendo seems to play it fairly safe (though the 3D multiplayer in 3D world was quite a thing). It could use an entirely different tone to breathe some variety into the franchise. It worked for Yoshi's Island, which took everyone by surprise.

I am playing around with the assets with some dude in Unity. It's extremely basic and barely constitutes a game. But it remains awesome to see the Internet make things like these possible.

lol Waluigi and Daisy would have like the same move set in smash cause they both have only ever been in sports and party games.

Canonically this is true. Their defining in-game mechanics are pretty much bound to sports and party games. But that shouldn't stop them from creative new move sets that fit their character.

For Daisy in Smash, I would she would be the princess-option for someone who wants to use brute force over finesse. Peach is pretty floaty and Rosalina really takes some getting used to. Daisy could be the princess that way more direct; throwing punches and kicks and a powerful ground-pound move like Bowser. Super Smash would obviously be something involving flowers, because daisies.

As for Waluigi, essentially Wario but with more finesse. Dancing seems to be a thing of his character, which works for this effect. Maybe make him move like a 1930s boxer for extra hilarity, I dunno.

Not a game yet, but some guy and me are currently toying with the assets in Unity, so it's not that far off.

Forgot to tell but a friend of mine had a project to make a plateform game with Daisy, he had no ideas of the Worlds to add in the game though.

Here's what he ought to do; make up a basic story first, then base the level structure on that. After all, you are telling a story, no matter how simple it is. Once you have your story, you can figure out how to translate that into levels.
ZeFrenchM's avatar
Exactly. He may come back on the project but externals stuff in life prevent him to do so.

Well, if this whole thing really runs out of hand and it actually starts involving a team, perhaps he'd be interested in level design or whatever.
