Description
This picture is part of the Artrix Avatar Month. See the AAM seal of approval.
At AvatarSpirit.net there is a thread called "Illustrate the Quote". It's essentially a game where the winner of the round gives a quote that the other participants are tasked to illustrate. The winner of the preceding round picks the funniest/best picture and thus marks the new winner who then provides a new quote.
I was quite a crappy winner as my quotes weren't particularly useful. As I remember, the quote for this round was something along the lines of "best crossover ever". I decided to contrast Avatar with The Mysterious Cities of Gold, which is basically the Avatar of the 80s. Still confused? Google and Wikipedia are running servers 24 hours a day to assist you.

For some reason I imagined something like this after watching the Mysterious Cities of Gold intro on youtube... never thought my childhood memories would resurface...
