The Red Anteater

A little 6x8" painting (all the lines are done with a brush and paint, the old fashioned way done over a week) of the Red Anteater. Feasting on ... you guessed it! Ants!

A couple of new "firsts" - the first time I have incorporated @AnnRavenshieldArt (my other profile) signature style mixed media border framing device with this new abstract series, which can be seen on my other profile. This work I feel, is more suited to this profile.

Another first with this work - adding a Cubist element with suggestions of tail and back leg movement (tail up to shade itself from the harsh desert heat) and head bobbing to accentuate the activity of the glorious Red Ant Eater gluttonously feasting on lots of little antsy gustatory delights! Andt going by the ant hill behind him there is quite an enormous feast to be had! nom nom nom!!!
