Greetings fellow Thumbers! We are excited to announce that we will be holding Thumbhub’s first ever Secret Santa exchange!
“What is Secret Santa?” you may ask. It’s a fun holiday event where a group of people get together and are randomly assigned someone to send a gift to, in this case a piece of artwork, with the identity of your gifter remaining a secret until the gift exchange hence the name “Secret Santa”.
As Thumbhub is an art focused community, we thought it would be the most fun have the gifts for this Secret Santa be art made by the gifters for the recipients, using the recipient’s interests and likes as inspiration for the piece. Skill level doesn’t matter, as what truly matters is the thought put into the art, so feel free to join no matter what your skill level is! The piece has to be made specifically for the secret Santa, though, so no taking older art and “gifting” it to your recipient. A story about my character? About time!
The night is humid, and I'm sweating beneath my collared shirt. The cool breeze sweeping along the street feels nice and helps to cool me off. It's nicer than it was during the day, when the humidity was paired with a relentless sun, and I was stifled in my uniform. I stray behind the group, dragging my feet along the sidewalk. I enjoy the company of my coworkers, who chatter rambunctiously in front of me, I really do, but I must admit I'm not ecstatic to be going to this party.
