What A Drag

The hands of some of the people Nick has killed dragging him down into Hell. This is what haunts his nightmares.

Nick doesn't feel guilt for killing these people, but rather is afraid that he'll get what's coming to him after he dies, leading him to fear death. This fear bothers Nick, as he feels that those who kill should be prepared to die, and hates to be a hypocrite, which is why he constantly puts his life on the line despite his fear. The bullet wound on his chest symbolizes his fear that his only friend, Lawrence, will turn on him.

I've tried to draw this at least 3 times now over a while and this is the only one I've been satisfied with. I kind of gave up on the shading, though.
