Don't think for a moment that I am admitting to anything, is that clear? I won't live on campus, I've heard too many unsettling stories from my classmates. I am an Art major, and that's why I came to Boston--I'm writing a paper on the career of Richard Upton Pickman, who was something of a sensation when he was working here back in the mid 1920's. the dead are poking their heads out of their graves, throwing glances before they focus on their master. he is standing there, motionless over the well, as if he’s thinking. risen water only ever means one thing—souls have been captured. he glides his fingers along the surface of carved stone, halts until he reaches the very top. white, black— yin and yang, clashing. his palm presses into ancient texture, as fog begins to fall. these miserable creatures he is about to retreat, roam around restless corpses— Master, Have you forgotten your duties? the little one asks, swinging her feet on the tombstone she’s sitting on. My dad had the idea for me and my siblings to use posca pens to paint wine corks for my mom’s birthday so here’s what I came up with. First is a magnolia since it's a flower my mom likes and the second is of my dog, and the side is her collar.
