Hi, I'm Icarus, I'm falling WIP by The-Tabby-Tiger Hi, I'm Icarus, I'm falling WIP by The-Tabby-Tiger
Hes a sort of figure head for ridiculous, impossible dreams.

In Greek mythology Icarus is the son of the great inventor, Daedalus, who designed the labyrinth for King Minos of Crete. However Daedalus tells Minos' daughter, Ariadne, how to solve the labyrinth, namely to carry a ball of twine that you let out as you walk so that you don't get lost. Ariadne in turn tells Theseus who then goes into the labyrinth and kills the minotaur. Minos is so enraged that he locks Daedalus and his son Icarus in the labyrinth. In order to escape Crete where they are now both outcast, Daedalus makes them both wings out of wax, wood and string/gut and they fly away from Crete. However the youth Icarus is so enchanted with the beauty of the sun and the freedom f flight that he flies too close to the sun, the heat melts the wax holding the wings together and Icarus falls to his death.

The title is from the Regina Spektor song 'Lacrimosa'.
