Literature Text
(55 words)
Let the moonlight stain my hand,
Not with loss, but with command.
Wounds I carry, rise and burn —
Lessons learned, now I return.
Wolf that hunts, I do not run —
I walk beside you, never done.
If I must shed, then let it be —
Not who I am, but what flees me.
Shadow_Kindred_Spirit
symphony of sorrows
Quill and Sword
This one is basically a repost from this journal entry.
I wrote almost a year ago in the aftermath of my own wounds, both self-inflicted and unnecessarily caused by others.
The visible wounds are healed today, the ones underneath integrated into what I am today.
That is why the meaning of this short poem changed.
Back then I wrote it from pain. Today I repeat it in strength.
It might sound like a cliché, but even in your mentally darkest days, you can choose to get back up, carry on and cut, what brought you pain, be it yourself or others. You might even reach a point where you have to, as anything else just ends up in a painful dead end.
(Mind you, of course, the ones with physical pain have a whole other package to carry, so always be kind to them if you don't know about their struggle).
Now, being in such mentally dark days myself, I know that it is not simple to switch behavior. It his pretty damn hard work and I get everyone who's afraid of tackling it. But it is also not a competition, you can always do it at your own pace for as long as it benefits you.
Stay always kind to yourself my little witchlings. 🖤🕯️🧹
