3051 - Part 3 The next day passed even more slowly. The mutterer kept muttering, and the silent "3051" stayed silent. Scitch commenced her pacing early in the morningat least she assumed it was early morning.
Lunch time went the same as the day before. Scitch put her foot in front of the hatch so that the guard couldn't even try to give her food. He didn't care. As soon as he discovered that she had blocked it, he went on to the other cells. 3051 still did nothing when his he got his plate. Scitch figured she and her tortured neighbor were the only ones in this wing of the prison not eating. Even though the mutterer threw his food, Scitch thought she heard him licking it off the walls after the guard had left.
The only truly notable event for the entire day was the screaming of another prisoner as they were dragged past Scitch's cell on the way to be tortured.
3051- Part 2 Scitch stood in the center of the circle of soldiers in a cramped elevator as it slowly descended deep below the surface of Irk. The general stood in front of the circle, and every soldier had their gun pointed directly at Scitch's head. The defective was slumped over, eyeing every Irken in the elevator and shifting her wrists uncomfortably in their shackles. A rectangular device was clamped over her pak to prevent her from using it.
Scitch jumped as the elevator jerked to a halt. The doors slid open to reveal the warden of this section of the prison and a mass of guards behind him. The general stepped out of the elevator and the soldiers directed Scitch out as well. She kept her head bowed slightly, a look of hatred on her face.
"This must be the infamous Scitch," said the warden in an almost mocking tone. Scitch didn't shift her gaze from the floor.
3051 - Part 1 Scitch stared intently at the computer screen in front of her. The screen was the only source of light in the darkened room aside from several smaller screens around the walls. Scitch watched the immense rows of information scroll past her. None of it was what she was looking for. Vessel schematics, details on the newest weaponry, the latest promotions? No such luck. Instead, she was finding invader reports and hatchery information. Scitch kicked the desk in front of her in frustration. Possibly a bad move, but thankfully the sound didn't attract any attention.
The rebel defective was standing in an empty operations room in the middle of a military base on Irk. She had slipped inside with difficulty, but Urg and Lima's information had at least made it possible. Urg had also given Scitch all the knowledge she needed to hack into the computer systems.
She was alon
Bait Ral Lar had only just managed to fall asleep despite the sore pain in his freshly broken leg. The infirmary bed wasnt very comfortable either. Everyone was in their rooms, most likely asleep as well. Even Scitch had retired to her quarters for the night to do whatever she did when she was alone. Probably beat herself against a mirror.
The infirmary was completely silent except for the soft sound of the snow crunching outside. That silence was what helped lull Ral into a comfortable state of unconsciousness.
It seemed to him that he had only been asleep a few minutes before something interrupted his rest by coming down around his mouth. High-strung as usual, he jerked awake, but his scream was stifled by the hand clamped over his mouth.
A soft sssshhhhh issued from the darkness. As Rals eyes adjust
