Ok so my last journal entry was weird and migraine-induced, so I thought I should make a new one.
I've been working on a few personal Flash game projects recently, and have almost finished a short animated film I'm making (I really need to upload some of those films here...)
The first few Flash games I was working on never got finished, but this next one I'm making is gonna have to get finished, since I'm doing it for uni
Basically it's gonna be a game mostly involving static screens showing images of a deserted underground city, whether it be a cobblestoned streets, courtyards or dark interiors. The player then interacts with parts of the scenery shown in these images by clicking on them, to advance to each new area.
So if the player's at a courtyard and they want to see what's through a door in front of them, they'll click the door and if the door isn't locked, they'll enter the next room.
I'll also be implementing a battle system into the game, so if the player approaches a long street and finds a monster awaiting them, they can battle the monster, gain experience points, level up, and find treasure by beating them. There will also be treasure chests lying around the place, and each treasure will be stored in the player's inventory when collected. Treasures such as swords and armor can be equipped as well.
The aim for the player is to find their way to the centre of the city, located at the very top. Here the player will uncover the ultimate secret this hidden city holds.
Anyone think this game sounds kinda fun?
