Okay I'm sorry I did not go over this but it's best to do it NOW!
What I see A LOT OF:
-Flawed (in grammar) pieces
What will not be accepted anymore:
-Bios(That means just listing what your character looks like and can or cannot do etc... however bios of their life and life story and stuff even short stories will be accepted.)
-PROLOUGES (I mean gosh dang it! IF YOU HAVE TO SUBIT A PRLOUGE please attach it to the first chapter of the actual story. I want to see people actually develop a plot or at least START developing a plot within the first chapter otherwise please specify in a note to anyone of the contributors or myself. While we are still talking about prologues I am putting a minimum word requirement for prose of any kind. PROSE MUST BE AT LEAST 3,001 WORDS. I'm really serious about this. If it will be a continuing story AT LEAST 3,001 WORDS PER CHAPTER/ENTRY. Unless you specify that it is a short story which is generally 3,000 words or shorter/not including the title and author/editor credits. Please, make an effort. TRY HARD in your LITERATURE. If I go through your gallery I WILL be able to tell if you put at least some effort into your writing. Remember edit, re-edit, have someone else edit, get a second opinion, use spell check, try grammar check. If there are more than 5 errors in your ENGLISH I will not hesitate to say no to your submission piece. HOWEVER, since I edit a lot of junk I am aware that some of you are not native English speakers so I will take that into consideration and ask you to revise your piece. Also if you have any foreign text in your writing I ask for you to bold it or underline it or something! BY MLA STANDARDS ALL FOREIGN WORDS IN AN ENGLISH TEXT SHOULD BE ITALLICIZED! I'm going to be real hard on writing now, okay.)
-POETRY(Poetry, well, poetry is hard to edit because really you can't edit poetry! Spelling mistakes YOU MIGHT want to edit; UNLESS YOU HAVE MISPELLED ANYTHING FOR A SPECIAL EFFECT. Please specify. Other than that poetry hasn't really been a problem.)
So yes, from today on there are expectations. I expect good quality work from everyone! So this should not be a problem. ^^ Oh, and CONTRIBUTORS please vote more often on pieces! I usually get stuck voting on everything and it's just not right. Pick up some slack.
AAAAAAAAAAAND as soon as I m allowed to use a computer again we will have a WEEKLY PROMPT!
This week's promopt is:
A Day in a Foreign Country With a Dog.
Yes all these prompts will be completely random! Have any other prompts? Suggest some!
