Just a fun little thing. ;) I was raised with Christmas myself, but pick your holiday of choice and have a happy one, and let’s make 2017 a year so awesome that 2016 becomes a dim, dark memory.

Langley's "comment" is hilarious.  LOL.

Just curious, what voices do you envision for your characters when you draw them. B/c when I read a strip with Charity and Langley I hear them with the voices of Grey DeLisle-Griffin and Jennifer Hale, respectively.

Langley is definitely Ashleigh Ball doing Rainbow Dash. Charity I don't have a set voice for, but Ginnifer Goodwin (Judy Hopps) wouldn't be a bad choice. I'd have to hear Grey DeLisle-Griffin's take on Charity, but I think her voice may be a little too "mature" sounding (low pitch, etc.) without tweaking. Charity should sound young and energetic. :)

That's kind of what I was thinking too, young and energetic. And for some reason my mind went to Grey's Frankie Foster voice. I could totally hear Ashleigh Ball as Langley.

Hmm.  Interesting.  I never realized that some, if not all, artists envision a voice behind their characters.  I do pretty much the same thing with my characters as I write my stories.  I guess we both do that to help maintain the character's, uh, well, character.  LOL.  Is that why you envision an actor/actress's voice?

Pretty much. I don't do it for all of my characters, but for a fair number of them. Some characters have such a strong voice that I just can't help it. ;D In some cases, a particular actor may have inspired the character in the first place (famously, Leonard Lion was basically intended to be Kurt Russell in Big Trouble In Little China).

Cool.  Kurt Russell as Leonard.  Yeah, I can picture that.  If you've read my story that I'm uploading, I've got one character, a 250 cm (8'1') tall felid character by the name of Mu-Naka.  I envision James Earl Jones as his voice every time I write his lines.  Of course, there are several other actors I envision for characters as well but Mr. Jones is the one that comes to mind the strongest.

The man has a voice like café espresso!

Yes, he does.  It's so calming most of the time and that's Mu-Naka's character.  He's the "Keeper of the Law" and calmness is practically a requirement for that position in the village in which he lives, although he doesn't hesitate to draw his sword when necessary.

BTW, I want to wish you and all of the Rough House characters a very Merry Christmas and an equally Happy New Year.
