TECHNOMAGE by The-First-Magelord TECHNOMAGE by The-First-Magelord
"We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocations of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things." -"by the Technomage Elric"

"TechnoMage Reejo Waora summons his ship the Shadow Stalker from it's hiding place behind a nearby moon."

TechnoMage Trivia: There are three uniquely "TMage" elements to this image beside the outfit that are drawn directly from the show "Crusade" I wonder if there are any True TechnoMage fans out there that can call them out?

Answered by Ranisath

1. TechnoMage - "Technomage chrysalis" Image-> [link]

2. TechnoMage - " Pinnace class Technocraft " Image-> [link]

3. TechnoMage - " Pinnace Control Sphere " Image-> [link]

Damn dude. That's SPECTACULAR.

You combined all these elements-- the boldness of the staff, the texture of clothing and skin, the surreality of the nebula in the background, the simplicity of the starship design, the detail of his summoning-- and made it look perfectly cohesive.

Part of me still wants to be a Technomage when I grow up... lol!

You are too kind! All I wanted to do was draw a cool looking Technomage my way and the fact that all these elements came together in some form of synergistic uniformity just kind of happened without any input from me. Oh and Welcome back! :)

And that makes two of us! :D

The technomages are one of my favourite concepts from the Babylon 5 universe - Clarke's Third Law writ large. Suggest if you haven't already done so that you track down "The Passing of the Technomages" trilogy of novels by Jeanne Cavelos as it answers a LOT of questions about Galen, Elric, Alwyn, where the technomages come from, and where Crusade was likely to go had it not been cancelled.

"Fourteen words to make someone fall in love with you forever, seven words to make them go without pain, how to say goodbye to a friend who is dying, how to be poor, how to be rich, how to rediscover dreams when the world has stolen them from you..."

Humm. Technomage items? Other than the outfit? Certainly the ship, Galen had one of those, and there were others seen too, to my memory. The staff, doesn't quite look like the one in the series (though actually, I like this one better) and of course, Galen had a crystal ball (or something like one) at various stages two...

Other than that, I'm not sure...

Excellent! You got two right out of the park, of course the last one is not going to be easy I expect it to be years before anyone just references it as it has no name but is distinctly a Technomage item. You also called the staff right I can't believe the costume department whipped out that BADASS outfit only for the prop department to make that hideous thing so yeah I had to make a better one. Good eye Rainsath!

Is it either the Triskele Symbol or the Dagger symbol? Possibly from the technomage books or that episode of Crusade with Alwyn?

And yeah. I often got the feeling that Galen's staff looks much better in reality than it does on screen. Certainly if you look at it in The Lost Tales, it's very detailed close up.

OK...Your good! It is generally believed to be one of Isabelle's internal Technomage components possibly even the actual chrysalis from which Galen withdraws the essence of his former love and leaves it at the "Well of Forever" in her memory.

Hmmm Lost Tales you say I'll give it another look then.

Lol Your great Haius! no he does give the ol sith Lord vibe but I certainly don't want him to be a Sith they tend to onl survive one move each before being cut down! :D

more neutral chaotic than pure evil, though, so I'm not sure if that makes him true Sith anyhow...

well, your mom's diversified her trades in the recent economic difficulties. she also sells drugs, illegal weaponry, and designer knock-offs, and will occasionally do a hit job for the right price. but I just saw her standing on the street corner, looking forlorn in the pouring rain because her boyfriend Voldemort was again a no-show. it was kind of pathetic.

Yeah to some extent, it's all a blur now as I was speed painting what should have taken a few more days for this (my limit) level of detail. Not to shabby though after being out of Photoshop for a while. Heck even my "Shadow Master" was completely Illustrator drawn!
