It took nine hours to make it and it would take me almost as long to give your question a detailed answer. I'm a very slow typist heh heh....

Well lat me ask you about some details then. How did you make the scale and the eye? And I have to ask, if you know...how much did this beast weigh?!
The scales were piped in icing using a small rose tip. The eyes are the only fondant on the entire cake. They are just rolled balls of yellow fondant inserted into the white chocolate eye sockets and detail painted with food colors before the surrounding scales were piped.
