Drogan's Lost Chapters VIIA slight breeze swept through the green sloping hills in the rough country of jagged rocks and rough shrubs of the West Gash, the mid-morning sun beaming on the near-dozen legionaries kitted out in the light chainmail uniform of the Imperial Legion. The weather, despite its pleasant gentleness compared to other areas of Vvardenfell, or the wider empire for that matter, did nothing to lift the fatigued spirits of the auxiliaries that had marched in formation since before dawn, patrolling the roads between Gnisis and Khuul, and in general establishing their presence to outlaw Ashlanders and other miscellaneous marauders and brigands that might otherwise menace the quiet roads and harass settlements like Khuul and the trading hub of Gnisis, where the local Imperial Legion was garrisoned.
The contubernium, numbering eight in number, had risen from slumber in the early hours while the moon was still high in the black velveteen sky. The auxiliaries making up the patrol, consistin
Drogan's Lost Chapters VIIIThe snow-capped peaks of the Jerall Mountains in County Bruma commanded a tremendous view of the surrounding countryside, where mountaineers and travellers braving the cold weather and wild animals, and as of recently daedra could marvel at the sheer scope of the low-lying lands of the central province of Cyrodiil. Far off into the distance one could observe the towering alabaster spire of the White-Gold Tower in the Imperial City, appearing in size no larger than a thumb from the viewpoint of anyone looking southwest from the top of Jerall’s peaks. The districts surrounding the White-Gold Tower were arrayed in an ivory circle of stonemasonry, the surrounding walls of each of the six districts representing the spokes of a colossal wheel. The city stood regally around the body of water surrounding it, Lake Rumare, with a single great bridge the only land-based way into the city. The Niben River flowed downstream, beyond the banks where stood the squalid and
Build a Story: Skyrim/Elder Scrolls (UPDATED)
A friend and I were discussing things to do while we're stuck at home, and I thought it might be neat to do a build-a-story. The Skyrim community is where I know the most people, so I figured that was a good one to do. I was going to do either a forum or journal, but I think it will work better here because more Skyrim people will see it, and the more people who participate, the better it will be.
To get things going, I'm going to start with my fanfiction characters, Selene and Brynjolf. They don't have to remain the main characters in the story, though. Be reasonable, but be creative. If we manage to complete the story, I may post it as a deviation (crediting all participants).
Place all entries in the Comments section.DA posting rules must be followed.Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you're a friend, a group member, or have just stumbled upon the story. You don't have to be a Skyrim player to participate, although knowing the characters w
EACK Part 48The Exciting Adventures of a Cowardly Khajiit Part 48
Ralis woke to his head throbbing in time with his heart. He really was getting too old for this. He sat up in his bed and tried to ignore the waves of nausea that accompanied his hangover. He looked down at himself. Why was he still wearing his armour? And why was he so covered in ash? And now it was all over his bed! Ugh. He’d need to apologise to Geldis later. He must have drunk more than he realised to have been that wasted.
He got up and looked in the mirror shard that was kept by a bowl of clean water for washing. There was an ashen streak across his cheek. A memory was threatening to emerge, but his mind was still foggy. Had he been crying? How drunk had he been? Quickly he washed his face of all traces and dusted down his armour as best he could.
Satisfied that he looked suitably presentable he opened the door and left his room, almost tripping up over Mir’ika in the process who was cur
