Hello there!

There will be a few changes happening around here! I'm quite absent due to my job and personal issues, so I transferred the management of group to some contributors. I can only check the group once in a while, but it doesn't seem to be managed (at least, not as often).

I'm not sure if the contributors still want to collaborate, as I find lots of expired submissions every time I log in (I will be contacting you guys as well, to see if you are still interested in being this group's contributor, and also in order to accept submission you will need to follow the reference of work found on the folder "featured").

When I created the group I had a very specific cyberpunk aesthetic in mind, and over the months we added and changed folders. To this day, even though I love it, I don't think that "mecha" (among other stuff) fits into the group. Just think about pure 80's cyberpunk stuff. While some "mecha" designs and characters do fit, some other ones don't (for example, Tiger and Bunny). It's considered general sci-fi (while cyberpunk is a branch from sci-fi).

Anyways, that's my personal appreciation and how we wanted to direct the group from the very beginning. So, I think it has lost that first essence. This is not a rejection of any kind, all the work submitted is amazing, but some of them might not fit. Let's take an example: there's a manga and anime related group. Someone wants to submit a "amerimanga" artwork. The artwork is amazing, but since it's not purely "manga" or "anime" then it doesn't get included in the group.

I hope that everyone understands and you are happy with the rules and all of that, this is absolutely not intended to offend anyone, but to keep the group organized! :) :) :)

We'll resume the group as soon as possible!! And probably we'll be looking for committed contributors.
Stay tuned!

This group was made to unite all the Cyberpunk lovers in just one group.

Cyberpunk is a chaotic, dark genre which presents a dark and hopeless old fashioned future where technology has conquered everything and everyone.

The borders of the Cyberpunk genre are often blurry. We tried to clarify it with a few "rules" you'd want to plug into your cyber-brain OS before posting:

:spotlight-right: Rules :spotlight-left:

There is a thin line between sci-fi and cyberpunk (even though, cyberpunk is a branch of sci-fi itself!), so we will try to clarify what we would like to see in the group:

:eye: Before submitting your work, you might want to ask yourself "Does the picture have high-tech, futuristic, or even post-apocalyptic subject matter?"; if the answer for your work is yes, then you can submit it to the group.

:eye: Cyberpunk is a postmodern and science fiction genre noted for its focus on "high tech and low life", this means that, for example, a Star Wars related work, 2001 or similar won't probably fit within the group, while films like Blade Runner, The Matrix and Ghost in the Shell will do since they show a gloomier, dysfunctionnal context.

:eye: No superheroes please !! Also no cyber-goth pics. As much as we like both genres, this doesn't really relate to the concept we are thinking about.

:eye: Please submit to the right folder !

:eye: Do NOT submit to "Featured" folder. This folder should work as an example to help you to see what would we like to have in our group as cyberpunk related work.

:eye: Don't get mad or offended if your work has been declined. If it doesn't fit within the context / has been submitted to the wrong folder, it won't get accepted.
If needed, send your letters of insults directly to Le-Doude while of course observing the basic rules of seemliness.

:eye: You must have at least once cyber-implant in your body n__~
