If you are interested in a custom commissioned item, I am now open for requests, including but not limited to Fancy Fish, Neko beanies, Pokémon, and pony OCs.

There will be 3 plush slots and 3 embroidered patch slots available.

Please Note me with what you are interested in, including size and reference pictures or detailed descriptions. The window for requests will be open for 24 hours, after which I will select the ones that seem the most interesting or aesthetically pleasing in concept.

Base Pricing can be found in this older journal (ignore the "closed" verbiage):  Commission Prices (Currently CLOSED)I keep getting asked what my plush prices are, so instead of noting everybody to death, I've decided to post a journal instead. These are my current baseline prices, shipping and handling is extra and based on where you live in relation to my spot on the globe; complex character designs or accessories will increase the cost. NOTE: if you have already asked me for a price within the last 6 months, and have the note or email, I will still honor the original price for the one item.
Once I reopen commission slots, I will accept non-pony plush requests as well; it's time for me to push my boundaries a bit. Keep in mind that pricing will be based on complexity of the character requested, including clothing & accessries, and that I don't do NSFW critters of any kind.
I like challenges, so long as I'm not asked to break the laws of physics or anything like that. I would rather not do the mane 6 unless it is for a specific/custom theme (gala, different hairstyles, gothic, armored, etc

Not sure why, but I was suddenly thinking about crossing Discord and Fluttershy with Ancient Magus' Bride's Elias and Chise. Odd-looking, overpowered magic user who isn't used to thinking about others, and a shy, quiet girl with an affinity for animals in a tentative relationship that could go beyond "friendship."  I think Discord would look snazzy in Elias's outfit (complete with head drape). Man, I wish I could draw better!!!

Anyway, just jotting down a random idea for possible future plushing. ;)

Hello!
As you may have noticed, I have changed my name to something a little more easy-to-pronounce. I've wanted to update it for a while, and as much as I love Drachefrau, I feel this name is closer suited to me.

I apologize for the lack of updates, I did not balance my college/crafting/personal life very well this past semester. One of my resolutions is to work on this and provide more constant updates on DA and FB. Next semester starts 16 Jan, and I have a 3D design class I'm hoping to work my plush skills into. I also have a political sciences class, but at least it's not math. Vomit

I will be working on getting my Etsy shop updated as well, with my focus primarily on patches until I get more free time for plushies and whatnot. I'll have to create a shop from scratch, as you can't change your name, but I'll be posting it here once that's done.

I hope everyone had a good new year, and I look forward to seeing all your work!

COMMISSION SLOTS OPENING; PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST FOR DETAILS.

After a busy series of weeks after BronyCon (kids and I both started school, pond maintenance, and general clean-up), I am ready to open commission slots! Please be mindful that I have a family & am now a full time student; I will not cut corners on your requests, but they may take longer to create than before. I am still dedicated to making the best craftwork I can.

Starting now, I am opening 3 slots for commission items, including plushies and patches. Be mindful that if I haven't made the character before, I will need good reference pictures, especially if you'd like a specific expression or eyes.

Prices will be based on complexity, materials used, and size of the plush; accessories are considered separate and will be priced on complexity and size as well. S&H will be figured out once the item is completed & weighed. OCs are fantastic fun to make, but require a non-refundable half payment up front before I will start. All commissions must be paid for before they are shipped out.

If you are interested in getting a slot, please note me (if you have previously asked for a quote, and are still interested, you'll need to note me again). I will keep the queue open until Tuesday, 5 Sept, then select the 3 projects that I would like to make. I apologize in advance if I do not select your project right away, but as I finish commissions, I'll reopen more slots.

Thanks for reading!

Whew! I survived another BronyCon, even though Baltimare tried to drown me (really bad storms). I was fortunate enough to sell almost all my stock; leftovers will be posted in Etsy in a few days. I got to meet a lot of interesting people and spend some quality time with my Mother in Law, who was awesome enough to fly over with me and help with the booth. On the charity front, Blackjack earned $700! E the Pony even donated a special carrier bag to put her in, so she was even more awesome!

Now that I've recovered somewhat, it's time to clean & organize the mess my sewing hideout has become over the last few months. I also promised Bruce a shop cleaning, so he'll gone about 2 weeks-ish.

Commissions (patch or plushies) should be opening up at the beginning of Sept, or whenever Bruce gets done at the spa. I'll be posting the announcement when I'm ready to go. If you'd like a quote, or if I haven't responded to a previous note or comment regarding commissions, please PM me your request with reference pictures (my apologies if I lost your particular note in the shuffle). I will be taking full time college courses while I work on commissions, so I won't be taking a lot of requests at a time, probably no more than 2 or 3. This way the quality of my crafting and my schoolwork stays high.

Sorry for the quiet, I've been busy making convention stock for some events in the next few months and haven't had a lot of time to update DA. However, if you're looking for more frequent updates, check out my Facebook page, Drachefrau Feather & Fabric Art (links are hating me right now).

As the title says, I have been selected to be a vendor at this year's BronyCon! It'll be interesting have to fly myself and all the ponies to MD instead of driving there, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work out. I've got a starter list for plushies (both new and old ideas) I'm bringing including:

- Baby Nightmare Moon
- Baby Chrysalis
- Button Mash, Sweetie Belle, and Endermares (of course)
- Baby Discord
- Blackjack (trying to get articulated legs to work with me, not as successful as hoped, but still fighting!)

We are also being encouraged to bring non-pony items as well, so plush versions of:

- Floweys
- Mjolnirs
- D20 dice

That's my starter list for now. I hope to get them all done before the new season starts in April. What characters would you like to see me bring? I'm also debating making some more sleeping Eeveelutions in the pattern of my latest Jolteon, but they're a lot of work and am not sure how well they'll be received.

Let me know in the comments! Looking forward to seeing old & new friends at BronyCon!!!!

Just want to say thanks for all the "Happy Birthdays!" I'm still super busy getting our house set up and ready for the holidays, but I hope to have everything ready to hit the ground running come the new year. :D My plan is to work on some smaller plush ideas for local conventions, and figure out articulated legs for a certain mechanical pony. ;) Once I get those worked out, I'll be opening up some custom slots for those interested; I'll be sure to post a journal once I'm ready.

I hope everyone has a good holiday season!

If you are interested in a plush commission, custom embroidery, or chain maille, please send me a note. If you haven't received a quote from me within the last 6 months, be sure to include reference pictures and estimated completed size for plushies and embroidery designs. If I replied to a note with a quote within the last 6 months, I will honor that price.

Plushies can be ponies and other species, with or without accessories and outfits; no human or anthro at this time. Embroidery can be a custom patch, or a design placed on a dice bag or similar item (large bag, etc). I don't have a hat hoop, so no hats. Sorry. Chain maille is limited to cuffs, bracelets, necklaces, and lanyards (no shirts or coifs at this time), but you can specify which weave and colors you would like.

Requests will be accepted until tomorrow, and those selected will be notified (3 plush, 1 embroidery, 1 chain maille). Unless they are ridiculously complicated, I should have all requests done before Christmas!

Thank you for your time!

At long last, I will be opening up new commission slots on 1 Nov! Requests can be sent in via note on DA (please do not comment on this journal instead of sending a note). I will be collecting requests for 24 hrs, then selecting 3 plushies, 1 chain maille, and 1 custom embroidery. If you're looking for that perfect Christmas gift, this is your chance to ensure it's ready to put under the tree in time!

Baseline prices can be found in this journal:  Commission Prices (Currently CLOSED)I keep getting asked what my plush prices are, so instead of noting everybody to death, I've decided to post a journal instead.   ; final prices will depend on size and complexity of the character, as well as what kinds of accessories they have. Please include reference pictures and desired rough size of the finished product.

I will be accepting non-pony requests as well as ponies; this includes Undertale, Pokémon, Digimon, anime mascots, etc. OCs are always welcome, but please only OCs that are yours or you have permission from the creator to have made.

Any plush artists attending Nightmare Nights want to do a joint Plush Making Panel? The deadline for panel submissions is this Friday, and I figure the more on stage the merrier! I loved going to them when WhiteDove and EquestriaPlush had theirs at BronyCon, and the crowd seemed to really want to learn how to sew. Since I've learned so much from other artists, I want to give back to those who are just starting on their own journey. Not a huge fan of public speaking, but it'll be good for me. :D

I'm also thinking about doing a free raffle for attendees for a small plush (leaning heavily towards an OC of their choice vs a pre-made plush, no princesses or similar large stuff through). Not sure how to go about putting that kind of thing together, but if the panel gets green-lit I'm hoping the Con staff can help out. Or maybe a pre-made plush would be better since they get it immediately?

Anybody interested? All levels of skill are welcome.

Another convention has come and gone, so it's time to stock up my Etsy shop with what I have left! If you were interested in purchasing a sitting Alolan Vulpix, I have 3 left. I also have 3 floppy-wing Moltres, piles of Neko kitties, and lots of chain maille! I'm still in the progress of updating the shop, so check back later if you don't see a specific item. :D

Sorry for the silence lately, I've been working on lots of projects getting ready for Hub City Comic Con! I've uploaded a bunch of different plush I've completed, please check it out! Continuing my push to make this crafting of mine a full time job, I've also signed up to vend at the local Saturday Markets here in town, so I'll be getting a lot of regular feedback and meeting more folks. :D

Future work planned:
- Articuno and Zapdos plushies, a couple of regular ones and at least one of each reversible into a Pokeball
- Tora (from Ushio and Tora) Beanies; I've actually got a lot of work done on this one, but Vulpix decided it wanted to be made first.
- Pony-themed Dragonscale cuffs (for Nightmare Nights, of course)
- Ponies planned for NMN: Nightmare Moon, Flutterbat (hanging style), Endermares, Baby Ponies (including Flurry Heart), Changelings, and possibly a Chrysalis. Not sure on Chrissie, though...those legs...

Stay tuned for more updates and posts! Follow me on Facebook for more frequent WIPs. :D

This past month has been a whirlwind of activity for me, so I apologize for the lack of activity. I have been working on stock for Ama-Con (here in Amarillo) and Hub-City Con (Lubbock, Tx), and I haven't had a lot of free time as a result. WIPs can be seen every couple of days on my Facebook page. I can't wait to see how things go at the conventions! I don't have an booth numbers yet, but come by and see me. ;)

That being said, I have even bigger news: I was accepted to vend at NightMare Nights in Dallas this year! :happybounce: :happybounce: :happybounce: :happybounce:

Not sure exactly what ponies I'll be bringing, but Nightmare Moon and Flutterbat are a must! I'm working on an updated Solar Flare as well (still my version, but with some changes to the mane and armor), so expect her to make an appearance. ;)

Unfortunately, this means that I won't be able to open new commissions until November. There's no way I can make enough stock for 3 conventions in 3 months without keeping folks waiting. I'm kind of winging things right now, which is really hate, but it's a good stress test nonetheless.

I'll post booth information once I have it. Thanks for reading, and hope to see you at one of the conventions!

Well, to cut a loooong journey short, we made it to Texas. ;) We are settled in for now with family until we can buy a house, hopefully in a couple of months. Now that I am restocked with what I need to work on plush, I will be sending emails to the last 3 folks to see if they are interested in their requests. Once those are done, I will be opening new slots! I'll be posting both a DA journal and a Facebook post when the time comes.

In the meantime, I decided to vend at Hub City Comic Con in August, so I've been prepping stock with what materials I had on hand. I added 36" chain mail lanyards to my bracelet and keychain collection, and they look great! I will have more color combinations available, these are just what I've finished so far. My favorites are the black rainbow and the fire ones.
First Lanyard Run by The-Crafty-Kaiju

I also decided to craft dice/marker pouches out of faux suede with embroidered details, and they turned out fantastic! The suede makes the embroidery really stand out and look crisp. They'll be finished off with metal eyelets, silky cords, and a cord toggle for security. I have a total of 12 bag colors, and plan on making different variations of some of the designs, especially the D&D dragon and the Chocobo (I don't own any of the designs, they are fan art only). Apparently chocobos come in all colors now, which is a really cool idea. You just feed them the right order of snacks and *POOF* 6 hrs later you have a teal chocobo. :D
First Batch of Pouches by The-Crafty-Kaiju

I'm planning on making several Button Mashes and Endermares, plus a couple of the Link pony. ;) Beanies are also on the menu, if I can get the scale figured out. Neko Atsume, Tora (from Ushio & Tora anime), and possibly some ponies are planned depending on how fast I can get through projects (without sacrificing quality).

TL; DR: I'm back to making cool stuff, and it will be for sale in August. :D
