A probable solution to commission chargebacks.Artists who create commissions know one caveat with accepting PayPal: their Seller Protection doesn't cover services, so they can and will be SOL if the buyer decides to dispute the transaction. While Buyer Protection doesn't cover services either, PayPal is notorious for ruling in the favor of the buyer, so the seller needs to look into other ways of protecting themselves.
Which leads to our discussion here, of how we can leverage Seller Protection to ensure scamming buyers can't run off with the money after the service is completed -- by converting your commission service into a tangible product.
Seller Protection covers tangible products that can be shipped to the buyer, and by making a commission, you can take advantage of this by printing out your commission and mailing it to them. Right there, you have a tangible, physical item that is mailed to the buyer, and thus is covered by Seller Protection.
Adjust your commission information and terms of service to indicate the buyer is pu

Many of us grew up with Disney movies, great stories with valuable morals in which good always triumphs over evil that shaped our lives and gave us some of the most memorable characters of all time, heroes and heroines who came to save the day!
However not only the heroes of these movies are well remembered and cherished, in fact sometimes the villain of the story is the character we remember and like the most, because let's be honest, the bad guy is always the most charismatic.
Now is your time to re-imagine the devious villains of your favorite Disney movies, give them a twist or simply depict them in a new way, YOUR way!

Adoptables, Basics for AdoptersSince I've been asked these questions a lot, I thought to write some journals about it. This is from an Adopter's point of view.
What are adoptables?
Adoptables are "designs" that you can purchase for your personal use or, in specific cases and only if the original artist permits it, for commercial use. They can be animals, humans, objects... Anything and everything can be turned into an adoptable.
What exactly *is* it that I'm adopting?
You're adopting the *design* itself, not the colours, not the art, just the character design.
Take this adoptable:
Art = The drawing itself = Right remains to the artist, unless stated otherwise
Original Species = The lines = Right remains to the artist, unless the species is for adoption too (Not valid in case of existing species such as wolves, cats, etc....)
Colouring = Black coat/Golden wings/Pattern on Tail = Right remains to the artist
Design = (Original Species + Colouring)
ProjectComment: A Guide To CommentingHow To Comment: Quick and Easy Guide to Commenting
A lot of people put hard work into deviations only to receive "Cool!" or "Neat. That's awesome." (Or the occasional "Gross...")
While all of those are nice and sweet, and it IS appreciated, it only takes one moment of your time to say something a little more, to give insight into WHY you liked it, WHY you thought it was cool, or WHY you thought it was gross. Even the negative aspects of a deviation are nice to know so you have that reference the next time you work on a piece.
You don't have to tear the deviation apart, you don't need to critique it, but by stating why you like the piece you let another person know how much you appreciate their effort. It is unfortunate when people give up when they have truly amazing potential because they feel their efforts are in vain. As a whole, it's not your problem OR fault if they choose this route, but often times, one comment can change their entire perspective!

The Chat Network :: Lesson 2Lesson 2
After creating your chatroom you probably want to customize and personalize it.
In this lesson we'll we walking through an example of customizing a chatroom and looking at some common strategies in setting up your privclasses and privileges. The hypothetical chatroom I've created is called #Oreos and is a chatroom for everyone who loves eating tasty Oreos!
Remember that in order to modify privileges or privclasses you either need to be in a privclass with the +admin privilege, or you must the original creator of the chatroom.
As we saw in the last lesson, the default privclasses when you first create a chatroom are: Founders, Operators, Members, Guests, and Banned.
These names don't describe tasty oreos though so let's rename them. The /admin rename privclass OldName to NewName command will change the name of a privclass:
/admin rename p
The Chat Network :: Lesson 1This is an introductory tutorial on topics concerning the Chat Network.
So, you've created your first chatroom and you're a bit confused on how it all works? These two lessons will attempt to take some of the mystery out of using and managing your chatroom.
Note that most of the commands mentioned in this article can be done by accessing your Chatroom Settings (a link to this is located in the bottom right of your chat screen). Most people prefer to use the commands though since not everything can be done by using the Chatroom Settings, and for the most part you can do things faster and easier by using the command.
When you first create your chatroom you'll notice that you are put into the "Guests" privclass. The first thing you should do is to type this command in the text box where you normally type:
/promote username Founders
Where "username" is your deviant username.
