So as I am sure is noticeable right off the bat, this tutorial has a VERY different look from my old ones. These style ones are actually made to be printed hand outs at panels I host, so they are not really tutorials in themselves so much as reference material. I did however feel they were worth sharing here none the less as I hope they can be a useful resource.

This reference page is for basic makeup contouring. These charts show the areas in which to apply highlighting and shadowing to emphasise and exaggerate your features to ensure you look the best in all photos!

Just a quick note on these, when you see the strips of highlight (like on the male features contouring forehead) those are meant to be light highlighting, NOT stripes of highlight. Once you have the areas of shadow and highlight in place blending the edges is the key to make your contours look natural and not like face paint.

Like all makeup I would advise practicing on your own face to find out exactly what works for you, contouring can be done quite thick, however that is also not a necessity, it can be done in powdered make up lightly, of cream makeup thickly, it is all finding what works best for you to achieve the exact look you would like.

As stated on the image please do not alter this guide in any way, if you would like to repost it else where please ask for permission first.

This is really really helpful, as a guy.  Question though, since I honestly am just barely learning about makeup...for a guy doing crossplay and trying to not look overly dramatic, would I still go with the one on the bottom?

Nice tutorial! I not very sure if I would use in the future, since I don't costly very often, but is always good to know :)
