Personality:
Mordîn has a close relationship with his parents, but not to where he joins them on their contracts. Because of this, he was essentially raised by the man who Sûldúring and Kaldûr feign ridership with. Mordîn caught on quickly to the scheme they all had going and became instrumental in helping with information gathering. His mere presence would loosen tongues when he would raise his feathery frill, hissing, causing the target to spill their guts to the ‘rider.’

Mordîn and the man have a close friendship, never very far from each other. Though timid by nature, Mordîn will protect his friend when the time calls for it. When it doesn’t, the two have gotten very good at escaping situations where neither of them want to be. There one moment and gone the next like they were never there to begin with.

His feathers help to mask his sounds, a part of how he earned his name. Many also feel that his markings are battling for control, and it is only a matter of time before one takes over. Whether it be the light of the above, or the dark of the below, no one can guess.

Corgis Build Bridges of Love: Learning to Trust    When Mordin was very little, his parents were always gone alot. He knew deep down they loved him, but they left him alone almost all the time, with an odd furry thing to watch over him. He had others call them Crow, his parents just said he was the Rider. He wasn't rightly sure what that all meant, but he knew that they were trying to create a connection between them, and he wasn't sure that that was what he wanted. . .
He didn't mean that the furry thing he came to understand was a human man was cruel or mean to him, on the contrary, he seemed rather kind. But he wasn't his parents. As much as this man known only to him as Crow or the Rider was kind to him, he couldn't take the place of the warm feeling he had when his parents held him, nuzzled him, spoke to him and cherished him like a treasure.
The longer that they were away, the more his heart ached for them. They were gone for what seemed like forever even when it was just two days ou
Having Fits About Traveling? So Am I! Taming Mordin was extremely disgruntled.
Mortified.
Humiliated.
And just plain embarrassed to be seen with this gosh awful THING on his back!
Crow was trying to teach him about how a rider sits on a wyvern's back, so that they might go together like he would often see his parents do. He never quite understood why they let him use that ugly bit of leather to sit upon their backs with, but they did, and now the man was expecting the same of him and it confounded him so.
It was UNCOMFORTABLE! ! !
I rubbed his feathers wrong, crushing his plumage, causing him great distress as the straps grew tighter and tighter. He squawked in outrage and Crow tried to soothe him, explaining about how the straps had to be secure to keep from a horrible accident happening to anyone in the saddle.
"I don't care, Crow! If you feel its so darned important for that to be done, then YOU WEAR IT! ! !" Mordin fluffed out his plumage, puffing up to seem even larg
Teenage Wasteland:Mordin's ShameMordin's life had taken a turn for the worst in his eyes. . .
His feathers. . .
His pride and joy that made him unique and handsome. . .
RUINED! ! !
All because of that stupid SADDLE! ! !
Mordin fumed for a long time after hours and hours of practicing with having a rider on his back, with trusting Crow's idea of a new and improved saddle. . . THIS STILL HAPPENED!
Mordin wept.
It hurt him to even think on, much less look back at. . .
Sighing, he curled up, depressed in his nest and refused to come out no matter how Crow tried to coax him. His only comfort was the corgi doll that he had had since Crow had made it for him, but even that small comfort paled in comparison to what had happened to his plumes. He looked worse than a molting bird! What would his parents say if they could see him now?!? Neither of them had plumage, but would they understand the travesty that transpired???

He wept for his loss, and Crow felt his insides twist
