Private notes of Jeremiah Arkham: Killer Croc
When they brought the creature before me, I could not believe my eyes, nor could I tame the rapid beating of my heart. The moment the beast's nostrils flared, I knew that it had caught the distinctive scent of fear. Waylon Jones, otherwise known as Killer Croc was born with a rare skin condition which gave him the odd appearance and characteristics of a crocodile. Medical records indicate that the resulting shock of her child gave his mother a heart attack from the shock of what she had birthed, and in the end, the infant was sent to be raised by his abusive aunt. As the years passed, his conditioned worsened and Waylon's body began to change farther, where he was beginning to develop razor sharp teeth. His mental state fared no better, with fits of rage erupting; very similar to a crocodile or alligator. This change, as well as the resulting in much physicals abuse from his aunt and other abuses from his neighbors and schoolmates only worsened his condition. But it was not brute strength, and a new look that makes Waylon a force to be reckoned with. But it is intelligence and his connections he built over the years. By sixteen, he committed his first crime; the murder of his aunt and Clyde Johnson, the leading assailant of his bullying. He would eventually be released from prison earlier due his built connection he made in prison and joined a circus as an alligator wrestler, now under the name of Killer Croc. As time passed, the circus was shut down after the ringmaster was mysteriously murdered and the only known suspect had vanished. Said suspect then took refuge in the Gotham sewer system where his transformation would alter his appearance further into something beyond inhuman, and it was not just his skin that changed. His body structure heavily altered as well. His teeth grew sharper, his nails shaped and sharpened into claws, a large tail formed from his backside, even his head had become reptilian and not in the slightest like a man. and has even developed some bizarre healing factor. It is even heavily implied that he has developed a taste for human flesh and when enraged, he growls and hisses like his namesake. In truth, I don't believe he is human at all. For what lays in my cell, has no right to be called by others a man.
