I'm back

Hi everyone, I am back again. I seem to have developed a habit of having an on and off relationship with deviantArt but it really is just because I usually only go on when I have created something new or the likes. In the future I do plan however to post more work on deviantArt and to update my profile. More art is coming soon. Very soon. Just you wait. Hopefully I will be more active this time. Kind regards and may God bless you all. Vimbai

In some tribes of the Omo River Valley in southwestern Ethiopia, certain children are considered Mingi (Impure, Ritually polluted) Reasons for being declared Mingi are: Being born out of wedlock. Being the result of an unplanned pregnancy. Being born a twin. Being born with some sort of deformity or imperfection. Having one's genitals injured in some way. Having ones teeth develop in the upper jaw before the lower jaw. Chipping a tooth during childhood. Children declared Mingi are considered cursed by the spirits. It is also believed that Mingi children will bring misfortune to the community if allowed to live. Children declare

Am finally back

0 min read
Hi everyone, This journal should be pretty short and sweet. I'm finally back on DA, it's been a while and I'm happy to be back and hopefully I'll be back for a while. This journal is mainly me expressing interests in making a lot more drawings in the upcoming month and year and hopefully you'll be seeing my work more often again. Take care, zvakanakai

Hi Vimbai,
Thanks for the watch, and cool to see you have a dA account!

Grant H
It's a pleasure sir. I've had it for a very long time actually and was beginning to forget about it until I read your email.
It's a great place to experiment, learn, get feedback and generally grow. Flames happen, but not often (hey, it's great to be noticed, no matter what the feedback!) I've improved a lot here, and connected up with some great human beings. Hope you find a good space.

I notice you're from South Africa.

I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much about their own country, much less anyone else's.  :(

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness about what's going on in the rest of the world.

Recently I’ve started my own private initiative; if I notice someone on DA  is from another country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know that

others are thinking about their home. :)

This update is about your home!

Hi,
I am actually Zimbabwean but I live in SA. Yes it is truly a sad plight that of the African American as one's roots are important as you will see if you go to Africa the emphasis and respect we have for our ancestors. Not necessarily in the way shown in movies (we or the traditionalists among us are often displayed as savage, stupid or uncivilised which is not true at all as it is a stigma which justified colonisation, slave trade and the oppression of the black man and woman as a whole).

That's a really great initiative. Alright. I think Zimbabwe may get one very soon as it seems people have finally had enough of Mugabe's oppressive, autocratic, cruel regime.

Thanks lemme check it out
