Description
The model acquisitions slowly draw to a close. As I try to enforce my personal rule to stop buying new models, I have a few final commitments before I start enforcing it.
One of the last ones to show up are some more coal hoppers. Can't have enough of those!
This is Norfolk & Western #38065, a Stewart Hobbies 55T Fishbelly Hopper. It depicts the HL Class N&W hoppers from 1939 onwards. It is a sleek looking N&W hopper and will be perfect for my growing coal train plans. I do have to put it together but it should go together as easy as an accurail kit.
If all goes well, this kit will also be subject to super-detailing pending research on what to add. As far as I've researched, this kit generally just needs wire grab irons instead of the included ladder grabs. I also hope to weather this car in the not-too-distant future and get loads for it.
