My Bio
I call myself an ASCII Artist. I started making ASCII art in 1998 because it was interesting and something I could do without knowing how to draw freehand. I still make ASCII art for pretty much the same reasons. Mostly, I like it.
I don't talk a lot. I don't like an overload of information. I still read an actual (print) book in bed at night and on weekends. Likely that's why I haven't gotten caught up in the mobile/ cell phone craze. I can't find any good reason to have a phone attached to my head at any time or in any way. Plus, I'm not a fanatic about it, but I avoid selling myself out to marketers as much as I can.
I like making my own websites. I have several sites in various stages of activity. I enjoy history and science so I tend to read old(er) science fiction and horror. I photograph modern ruins, abandoned places and things in rural Ontario (Canada).
Favourite Movies
Anna and the Apocalypse. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The Princess Bride.
Favourite TV Shows
Primeval, UK or Canadian versions. I like science fiction and end of the world, disaster, kaiju, that's a really big snake/tomato/ etc! TV and movies with an interesting story and a lack of sex and violence.

My nephew, Zack.
Favourite Books
Usually whatever book I'm reading at the time. I've given up on keeping track of them or picking any one (or dozen) as a favourite.

Carmageddon and city building games. I also think I'm a very good Dungeon Master.

I've got a site up to post my new ASCII art as I work on it. So far I've had some art appear in a literary magazine and I'm working on backgrounds for a game. Nice to have projects to work on, other than my own.
