Major additions where made to the fractal flames generator T.I.N.A. which now features an simple-to-use fractal-movie-editor!
The movie editor is one of the simplest-to-use things on planet Earth You start with just a few mouseclicks and created a movie:
- load or generate a fractal you want to animate in the fractal editor
- press the new "M" button in the fractal editor, the fractal is copied to the JWFMovie Maker
- switch back to editor and load or generate a second fractal you want to animate
- press the new "M" button in the fractal editor again
- Congratulations, you have created your first morphing fractal animation in JWildfire! You could now play with the realtime-preview (slider between the center view or "Play" button) or save it as *.swf file

Complete list of changes:
- created a complete new animation editor on the "JWFMovie Maker" tab (removed the Morph and Animate tabs)
- support for fractal flame morphing in the JWFMovie Maker
- support to create SWF files and include sound
- realtime preview in the JWFMovie Maker
- load/save/copy from/to clipboard of *.jwfmovie files
- buttons to exchange flames between fractal editor and JWFMovie Maker
- Welcome-screen with links to popular JWildfire ressources in the web (community, tutorials, videos, etc.)
- set the default filter radius to 0.0 in all random flame generators
- path settings for sound and SWF files in the Preferences window
- option to enable/disable the association of profile information with flame files
Just click the "Random flames" button or alternatively now the "Next" or "M" button to start playing around and have fun

PLEASE READ
If you have more than one qualifying Griffian, you can choose more than one square (max 5 squares total with the use of 5 qualifying Dom Griffians). This may be altered later, as we are watching the effects on the market.
Its very easy to use and would recommend giving it a go to anyone.
A few small things if I may though, although they are minor points:
When saving as png the file box still shows save as swf file type.
When saving as png it overwrites any existing files of the same name (not tried swf yet to see if it does the same).
Would be nice to add the first frame to the end as a button to aid looping animations. At the moment I copy it back to the editor and add it as a new key frame.
On a different note, is there a way to display a cross-hair in the main preview window for easy centering?
Oh and I must stop trying to create a random batch using CTRL-B
The ability to directly support the creation of looped animations is also on my list
And better centering/zooming is also a feature which will come. There are so many things to come
Even the Ctrl-B would be funny, I will think about it
though I don't know anything about your main use cases of Apo I would still recommend JWildfire because you can do most things you can do in Apo but it's easier to use (this is the feedback I receive). There is for example no problem with plugins, there are about 200 built-in plugins and you can create your own plugins on the fly (if you speak Java
And you have some unique features like HDR rendering or combining flames using sub flames.
I have put non-complete feature list at my site: [link]
Best regards
Question: is there a freeware to convert the .swf files to .avi?
there are some free solutions out there but I found none of them satisfying. The program which worked the most for me did strip the sound from the movie. So the SWF to AVI conversation is currently an open topic for JWildfire. But for sure I will offer a working solution soon
Best regards,
Andreas
No need for an avi file! I made a small test using Windows MovieMaker and the result is quite acceptable: [link]
Regards and happy week-end.
I wish you also happy weekend
