Alternate Universe/Interpretations/re-invetions of the Polaris and the Scarlet Witch, they are identical twins but have different hair colors and powers (and you can imagine how that frustrates the local geneticists) Escarlate (the red one) can alter probability while Esmeralda (the green one) can distort space (much like her father) and create portals like the one you are seeing the picture.
