Strike Witches: Welcome to Asia by ThanyTony Strike Witches: Welcome to Asia by ThanyTony
After about a month of resting, I decided to carry on with these, filling the Strike Witches universe.

And now I've done the nations of Asia, which in the timeline aren't touched as much as they probably should, but the little hints they give us indicate that awesome and interesting things happened there.
Again, these are all flags I made with the exception of the Fuso flag which is official.

All the facts you see here are pure and fun speculation of what could be going on in the SW universe in Asia.

Enjoy n_n

Oh two other pieces of information that I have come across in my studies into Strike Witches world Lore is that the most of the land that make up our worlds version of China and most of North Korea is a large expanse known simply as the "Empty Desert Region". Also a piece of territory in the Russian landmass North of Fuso is the Orussian/Fuso Port-city of Urajio that takes in imports from the Fuso Mainland to ship across the Empty Desert Region to send supplies to support the Orussian Front-lines. Urajio itself is also a very busy, bustling city region and hub for trade along heavily used trade routes.

Given what the Manga of the Fuso Sea incident imply is that farther West in the Empty Desert Regon lay Neruoi hives and nests: during the battles against the Neruoi during 1937 the Neruoi made a very strong push towards Urajio and Fuso overland across the Empty Desert. In the end the Neruoi were only just beaten back, but at a high casualty count ranging in 5,000 dead and wounded of both conventional military personal and even witches; though because of their sacrifice their were no civilian casualties.

Makes a series that seems light hearted and fun a lot more serious if you look beneath the surface.

Auch, poor China and Korea, they got Neuroi'd

This is all very interesting information I didn't know about and it'll help A LOT.
Thank you so much again n_n

I wish I could read the Fuso Sea Incident Manga but everytime I look for it is always incomplete.

As a quick note of intrest: the Island that is located south of Fuso is called "The South Seas Island" and was discovered during the Azuchi period and established as an overseas territory. Thanks to an influential daimyo immigrating to the South Sea island in the early 17th Century, it developed into an important supplier of resources for present-day Fuso due to it's abundant underground resources and at the time of it's discovery it was mostly an uninhabited region making it ideal for colonizing and settlement. Both Fuso and the South Seas Island are well known for foreign trade.

Anytime: I'm glad I could help.

I've been looking up as much Strike Witches Lore as possible so I have quite a bit of stuff rattling around in my head.

It's possible that Afghanistan in the Strike Witches universe could be called exactly that, Afghanistan, the land of the Afghans, but I don't know that for certain.  Just pure speculation.

Possibly, I tried to research a bit into the countrie's history prior to Islam but I didn't go very deep on it.
I will later make flags for all the countries that are unnamed in the map, including Afghanistan, so when I do that I'll research deeper into what was this region.
