Strike Witches: Welcome to Africa by ThanyTony Strike Witches: Welcome to Africa by ThanyTony
And finally the LAST continent in the SW universe to cover and the one I had the hardest time on due to how little information it is aviable for it in the Timeline, AFRICA.

Unlike all the other maps where there is at least one official country, this time ALL the flas are 100% fanmade by me based on the my research of the region and theorizing how this world might look given the background the SW Timeline gives me and I have to say...it is a real shame there isn't much information in Africa because the possibilities here are ENDLESS.

I learned so many things I didn't know about Africa, I am so glad I decided to do this project and imagine how it looks in the SW universe, I really hope one day the anime or manga doujins will get to explore not just Africa but the rest of the world, it is such a shame to create this interesting premise only to waste it, Strike Witches has EVERYTHING to be one of the greatest anime franchises ever and I hope one day people will learn to see it.

I will probably do another one of these adressing those countries that have no name in the map, because they are there (Countries like what seems to be an union between Colombia and Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Indonesia, China and many more).

But for now, Enjoy Africa.

Africa lives, and marches on. Neruoi can't touch it's bad black ass. Also the since their is no Islam I see why they are so peaceful. ~ C

Yeah, compared to other continents in the series, Africa is still the same, I wonder why.

This must mean that Europeans in the Strike Witches universe did not engage in slave practices in the Colonial Era like they did in our universe.  Or am I wrong?

At least with Noth, East and Central Africa, they certanly didn't as North countries still are named after Roman provinces, East is almost completely dominated by Ouedraogo which descend from the Mossi Kingdoms that probably took control of the region without a Mali and Songhai Empire (Due to the lack of Islam) to oposse them and the Center by the Kingdom of Kongo which is still unified.

With South Africa I am not so sure, that's why left two possible scenarios, the only country in the SW universe that seems to have gone the Colonial route is Britannia, Hispania and Lusitania probably went more for a cultural exchange and interaction than a colonization in Liberion and Gallia doesn't seem to have colonized anything, and South Africa was a British/Dutch Colony in Real life so probably they did, but they weren't as opressive toward the Zulu as they were in real life.

Probably the lack of Christianity reduces the level of brutality of the European countries toward the rest of the world, notice how in the Timeline, the Thirty Years War never happened, that's interesting.

Strike Witches is on my list of animes to watch. I might bump it up to next on my list. While speculation, I really enjoyed the flag designs and the alternate history description you presented here. :)

Thank you very much n_n
I Love History and when I found all this backstory in Strike Witches I knew "This is my Place" it was incredible, you really don't expect to find these on an anime about "Pantless (But REALL Awesome) Girls" it is one of those animes you have to give them a chance, but you won't regret to have done it.

Again Thank you very much,  I hope if you get to watch it enjoy it :D
