Arianrhod is a Welsh Goddess Who features in the Mabinogion, a collection of tales that were written down in the Christian era but which clearly detail the stories of the old Gods. Her name means 'Silver Wheel' or 'Silver Disk'; this is usually taken to mean She is an old Moon Goddess.

She is the mother of both Lleu Llaw Gyffes and Dylan, the Sea God; She is presumed to be the daughter of Don, the Welsh mother of the fairies, i.e. the old Gods.

For a Moon Goddess She has a lot of star associations. The constellation of the Corona Borealis (Northern Crown) is called after Her Caer Arianrhod, or the Castle of Arianrhod; and the Otherworld of Caer Siddi is also associated with Her. Siddi means 'Revolving', and to me that, as well as Her association with a constellation, makes me think She is more properly a star Goddess, as the stars appear to revolve about the Earth's axis, so I have shown Her here as such.
