BEHIND THE SCENES

The concept of a Laser Core (or a Spark Core) containing the "blueprints" for its own ideal body was further explored by Franco for the Seeds of Deception project.
More about this in the Gladiator profile and Trannis chapter: every time a Core is inserted into a ProtoForm Body, the Core will "program" the Protomatter, trying to push it toward a certain form. Every attempt (reincarnation) will lead the Core closer and closer to its own final form.
More examples in the Characters Art gallery: the Lawless Times incarnations of such characters as Grimlock and Skylynx are early "prototypes" of what they should look like.
