Continuing to chronicle the missing moments hinted by The War Within, here is SIDE B of Short Story Badass.

The narrating voice provides the Decepticon point of view of the same battle, but it's not Megatron's. That would be too obvious!

In continuity with SoD Shockwave/Soundwave, Soundwave is based on his Spotlight: Soundwave version: a powerful synthesis of both his G1 faces, the silently loyal warrior and the cunning, selfish blackmailer.

The two opening textboxes, beginning "And there came a day...", are a tribute to Marvel comics The Avengers.

Panel 1-2-3 chronicle three different moments of the same battle told in Badass: please notice how the moments are NOT the same.

Panel 4-6 are set before the arrival od KUp and Swoop in Badass.

Lightning Strike Coalition and Dynoboys together: merging Grimlock's groups in one continuity.

Soundwave rescues and carries away a wounded Megatron, just like in TFTM86.
