NOTES

A direct crossover with SoD: Omega Supreme (page 6).

As panels 1-2-3 correspond to page 6 of SoD: Omega Supreme, panel 4 happens soon after.

If Shockwave had not left (to move to SoD: Shockwave/Soundwave), he would have seen the Matrix Flame portent!

This is the THIRD perspective about the ordinance of Sentinel Prime: after Shockwave's and Omega Supreme's versions, it's now Senterius/Sentinel's turn.

"Matrix Fire" is a reference to the Matrix Flame briefly seen in the classic Target: 2006 (G1 Marvel UK comics).

Or it is the Hoyoku Tensho from Saint seiya?
(The structure/progression of panels 1-3 is another reference to Saint seiya).

"I will choose my own path" is a reference to the closing sentence of The War Within Vol 1 (uttered by Optimus Prime ).

Browse the entire Chapter.

I gotta ask, to what in particular are the first three panels a reference to? Because I can't connect it to anything from Saint Seiya

The various chapters of the manga, where Seiya apparently defeated who floats somewhere; but as he ponders his defeat, he finds within himself a new way to burn his cosmos, and the panels get closer ans closer to him, and in the last one he opens his eyes, ready to attack.
Sort of.
Ah yes, that happens about as often as Shiryu losing his clothes and/or sight
