Christmas Day, somewhere in the 1800s.
A 7 year old girl accidentally woke up at 3 AM, she doesn’t feel like going back to sleep. She gets up and and tip-toes down the hall, wondering if her father remembered the present she wanted.
When she grew up, she wanted to be a ventriloquist, so she wanted a large doll to practice with.
She peaks at the living room, noticing a tall, wrapped present. Getting a bit excited, thinking it’s possibly the doll she desired, knowing that she’ll probably make a noise and wake her parents up, she tip-toes back to bed.
The next morning, she gets up excitedly. She sees her mom and dad in the kitchen, making Christmas dinner for later the day. She asks her parents “Can I open my presents now?” Her parents respond “later, be patient”, she then walks into the living room with a rather impatient feeling, staring at the presents near the fireplace, thinking about the tall present and what it might be.
