Replace Daz?

0 min read
Dear fellow random persons of the internet. A few weeks ago, for multitudes of reasons, I proceeded to install Linux Mint on all computers of the household. I bought new SSDs and saved the Windows installations for later, if I ever need to go back. For my personal PC I had to install Linux twice, because I’m a total n00b when it comes to Linux. Also fixing various nuisances by copy-pasting ”sudo-apt-random-commands” from Reddit is always a super good way to obtain mad skills. At some point I managed to get DazStudio running in Bottles, but man, it’s weird and clunky. It’s hard to make sense of the UI on a 4k screen when you can’t enlarge UI fonts. My eyes aren’t what they used to be. I have booted Win10 couple of times to render few otherwise finished scenes, but that's it. At this point I think I'm fully committed to Linux. for at least as long as this old PC still breathes. I may change my stance later, who knows. So. My future with Daz is uncertain. If you have advice or ideas

So what went down? Why do I Have a 2nd account now? And what happened to the 1st one? I bet there's few who know me from the past and have questions... Let’s make it short: I deleted everything myself. No one else is responsible. I did it myself. DA account, Twitter, Slushe, and everything on my hard drive... I uninstalled Daz and other tools, and plowed the drive flat. Saved nothing. Why? Why, I hear you cry.. Well... One day it wasn’t a hobby anymore. It stopped being something that brought a smile to my face and turned into a thing that mostly irritated me. It felt like a chore. Something that rubs my mental health the wrong way. And I needed a break. For real. Was this an overkill? - Probably. Is it gonna happen again? - Who knows Today this feels good. Have a good one! :)
