The Family of Tuonela

In Finnish folklore, the dead are often depicted as families. The family of Tuonela Deadland consists of Death (Tuoni), Lady of Death (Tuonetar), Son of Death (Tuonen poika) and Daughter of Death (Tuonen tyttö). Also the dead that shamans raise from underground are often addressed as a family or a household.
