Senior Project Character Concept

For my character, I chose to design a girl because I have never modeled one before and I thought it would be a challenge. Choosing a female also allowed me a wider color pallete. In kyūdō, unlike men who can only wear black, girls are allowed to wear both navy blue and black hakama, although, all beginners are required to wear a white top (keikogi) and white traditional socks (tabi). I can also add a little color in with her hair piece and nail polish (I'm not sure if nail polish is allowed?). For her glove (yugake), I chose to give her the 3-fingered version (mitsugake) because it’s used for pulling a bow with less weight. Because she is 5’5″, her bow (yumi) will be 2.27 m long and her arrows (ya) will be 90-100 cm.
