Tyrannosaurus rex 2k19

Sooo.. my favourite animal of all time T rex, oh boy was I lookin forward to do a new rendition of this magnificent beast! I was a bit hesitant because I wanted to do a version that looks even better than my 2018 rendition www.deviantart.com/teratophone… and I considered that one one f my best reconstructions I´ve done up to that point. And while I still think my 2018 version holds up quite well in terms of accuracy, I really think that this new colored version is even better! It looks more dynamic, more fleshy and even more like a real animal.

At first I wanted to wait with a new T rex but after seeing  this great piece www.deviantart.com/paleonerd01… by www.deviantart.com/paleonerd01 I really wanted to do a new one. The aforementioned t rex reconstruction as well as these studies

www.deviantart.com/paleonerd01… by the same artist provided very helpful information  when reconstructing my new T rex.  Skull wise I always use the skull of Stan because he has the most beautiful skull of all t rex specimens we know of in my opinion.  Skeletal wise  references were taken from Franoys www.deviantart.com/franoys reconstructions

What I personally find interesting is that all these tyrannosaurus specimens have slight differences in their proportions, really shows that these animals had a lot of diversity with differences in skull shape,proportions and other small details.
