Prosaurolophus maximus

Prosaurolophus is a hadrosaurid from North america. It was an average hadrosaur when it comes to size, around 8,5 metres long. The animal had a small crest on its head which looks similar to that of saurolophus but much smaller. Thats why its name means before saurolophus. It lived also earlyer than saurolophus. It was a plant eater and had a big head for its size. Otherwise it was quite an ordinary hadrosaur. It had huge amounts of teeth which were fused into so called batteries. These batteries allowed it to eat even the hardest plants. It probably lived in herds or groups.
