Description
When the first stills from Catching Fire came out knitters pounced on two things, Katniss' "shield" cowl and her black and brown sweater. I spent far too much time hunting down high resolution images of the sweater and zooming in on it, all the time wondering what the back looked like. Eventually a very poor image of the back surfaced but by that time I had already done half the back of my doll sized version. I like the back of mine better.
Knit with #10 bamboo crochet thread on US 0 (2mm) needles. Almost entirely knit in twisted stockinette, including all decreases (left and right leaning, knit and purl). About half of it was knit flat too, so that was a lot of purling through the back loop.
I think this is my most favorite piece of doll knitting.
