Extermiknit

I followed Penwiper's pattern for this.

This was such a pain to knit. Literally since my hands don't like knitting with small needles and I used US size 2s for it (2.75mm for you metric folks). The yarn is Caron's Simply Soft in grey heather and black. I skipped the bobbles and used pony beads instead. Ideally I would have liked to use half dome shanked buttons but I couldn't find any at a price that made 56 of them reasonable.

So many problems with this. My provisional cast on got all wonky at the join of the round. The corrugated rip was my first attempt ever and it's really obvious. My color work skills are rusty and I gave myself some major headaches with it. The jogless joins need work too. But it's done, finally.

This would be why I did more than half of my NaNo novel in the last five days too. When the writer's block started I just did a lot of knitting instead.
